Now this is lesson 2.
Kelly is teaching you four tones in Mandarin.
Note that we can also use number 1 to 4 for the tones.
e.g. ma1 ma2 ma3 ma4
ni1 ni2 ni3 ni4
(x) 泥 你 逆
Note that we don't have a character pronounced as ni1.
ni2 泥 = mud or dirt
ni3 你 = you, your
ni4 逆 = reverse, against the current
