In the Spotlight !
Now this is lesson 2.
Kelly is teaching you four tones in Mandarin.
Kelly is a sweet girl who teaches you some basic Mandarin

How to say how are you?

ni3 hao3 ( all 3rd tones).

Let see
I want to say that there are too many methods around and it's hard to get people focus on one. But Jyutping is the only one I endorse because it is easy to learn and type on computers.

Jyutping (Traditional Chinese: 粵拼; Simplified Chinese: 粤拼; Mandarin Chinese in Hanyu Pinyin: yuèpīn; Cantonese Chinese in Yale: yuhtpīng; Cantonese Chinese in Jyutping: jyut6ping3; sometimes spelled Jyutpin) is a romanization system for Standard Cantonese developed by the Linguistic Society of Hong Kong (LSHK) in 1993. Its formal name is The Linguistic Society of Hong Kong Cantonese Romanization Scheme. The LSHK promotes the use of this romanization system.

The name Jyutping is a shorthand consisting of the first characters of the terms yuèyǔ (粵語; Cantonese) and pīnyīn (拼音; romanization).

Tone Practice For Members
It is very hard for English-speaking people to master the Chinese tones.

We try to help you to master them more easily.

Let's begin with four Mandarin words with the sound fei (as in fay in English):

The four tones are:

fei1飞 fei2肥 fei3匪 fei4废

fei1= fly fei2= fat fei3=bandit fei4=waste
